In this paper, a study of end-launch' position sensitivity over a wave-guide surface targeting Wireless Body Area Network(WBAN) is performed. Its importance is displayed through the fact that connected clothes are hard to implement in real life despite the fast evolution of technology that has witnessed this field in the last decade. In this study, End-launches are made of a planar printed dipole laying on the wave-guide surface, and transmission is obtained in the 2.4-2.8 GHz band. The electromagnetic simulation shows that the height of the dipole above the surface has a small influence on the transmission power. However, a few millimeters displacement for a given height can cause up to a 10dB change on the transmission level. This result is explained by analyzing the Electric field distribution in the structure.

Abstract
This result is explained by analyzing the Electric field distribution in the structure.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione
