An energy-related definition of reactive power is introduced first, which is conservative in every network and applies even under non-sinusoidal conditions. Following, a theoretical background to analyze and control a system of distributed harmonic and reactive compensators is provided, which is based on a suitable line current decomposition. Application examples related to hybrid power filters and distributed compensators are finally discussed.

Abstract
An energy-related definition of reactive power is introduced first, which is conservative in every network and applies even under non-sinusoidal conditions. Following, a theoretical background to analyze and control a system of distributed harmonic and reactive compensators is provided, which is based on a suitable line current decomposition. Application examples related to hybrid power filters and distributed compensators are finally discussed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione
