A complete, fully nonlinear approximate Riemann solver of the HLLC type for the Baer-Nunziato equations of compressible two-phase flow is constructed. The new HLLC solver is assessed in the framework of finite volume, discontinuous Galerkin finite element and path-conservative schemes. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
