The poster is focused on the conservation of a vernacular timber house built during the ottoman period, located in the historic area of Süleymaniye in the Fatih district, Istanbul. The case study is a listed building from the end of XIX and the beginning of the XX century. It is located on the corner of Kirazli Mescit road and Avni Pasa road, close to the Süleymaniye Mosque, in the bu er zone of the World Heritage Site “The Suleymaniye Mosque and its Associated Conservation Area”. That is one of the four historic areas in Istanbul Historic Peninsula which were declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.
