The great soil consumption in the last few years has led to a waste of territorial resources tin favour of uncontrolled and inefficient urbanisation. It is therefore essential to rethink the process of urban development that leads the city to grow in the empty spaces and abandoned industrial areas, with the aim of recovering the existing. In order to be able to operate effectively in terms of reuse, it is necessary to become aware of the abandoned industrial heritage present in the territory, since this heritage is considered one of the most important elements characterising our settlement and social identity, since factories have been the heart of our cities development. The former factory of Lanerossi in Dueville is an example: symbol of a village set in the heart of the province of Vicenza, which has historically marked the development of the village and his community; today, this storage of history, work and culture is left to its slow and inexorable decay. The contrast of urban degradation seems to depend on the ability to reinterpret and reinvent the use of these spaces, we will therefore try, no longer to regenerate the city, but to regenerate with the city, stimulating a new way of thinking urban, creating connections with existing elements, and regaining the voids, asking them to harmonize with the context and to relate whit those who inhabit and live it. Only in this way the recovery of industrial heritage can become a strategic element for the regeneration of cities.
