The problem of the estimation of the directions-of-arrival (DoAs) in sub-arrayed linear arrays is addressed in this work by means of an innovative strategy based on the Bayesian Compressive Sensing (BCS). The performance on the DoAs estimation for different sub-array configurations is discussed and compared with those of a fully-populated array for different noisy conditions. A set of preliminary numerical results is reported to highlight the behavior of the proposed method by taking into account data measured at a single time snapshot.
