This work proposes a novel synthesis method for tiled rectangular shaped arrays, partitioned using two types of square tiles, controlled in phase by a single phase shifter. In order to maximize the efficiency of the amplifiers, an isophoric feeding network is proposed while the aperture tapering is achieved by means of a module sizes tapering strategy. A multi-objective optimization is used to find the optimal tiling configuration, minimizing the side lobes level, and the number of modules.

Abstract
This work proposes a novel synthesis method for tiled rectangular shaped arrays, partitioned using two types of square tiles, controlled in phase by a single phase shifter. In order to maximize the efficiency of the amplifiers, an isophoric feeding network is proposed while the aperture tapering is achieved by means of a module sizes tapering strategy. A multi-objective optimization is used to find the optimal tiling configuration, minimizing the side lobes level, and the number of modules.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
