The book provides a critical introduction to the philosophy of David Hume, still considered the most important philosopher in the modern Anglo-Saxon world in the areas of rationality, ethics and religious thought. The interpretation given in the book aims to be as consistent and unitary as possible, and privileges the analysis of the Humean texts with respect to the secondary literature. The book also includes a bibliographic guide, that allows the reader to gain a general idea of the still growing development of critical studies devoted to Hume’s philosophical thought.
