We discuss the problem of note taking versus having handouts provided by the teacher. We present a system we developed, composed by both hardware and software solution. The system requests students to be active in class taking notes, and yet helps them by relieving from the need of transcribing what is being presented. Moreover, it synchronizes the notes taken by students with a recording of the lecture in form of a video, so that student can use notes as anchors for reviewing portions of the lecture.

Abstract
We discuss the problem of note taking versus having handouts provided by the teacher. We present a system we developed, composed by both hardware and software solution. The system requests students to be active in class taking notes, and yet helps them by relieving from the need of transcribing what is being presented. Moreover, it synchronizes the notes taken by students with a recording of the lecture in form of a video, so that student can use notes as anchors for reviewing portions of the lecture.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
