For many years, the Great War has become a subject of great interest for an ever-greater number of persons and bodies. Various questions have emerged in this period as regards the destiny of a cultural heritage and of works that are both so vast as to make a full and considered evaluation necessary. Moreover, this evaluation has gradually begun to involve many different disciplines, thereby bringing to the fore the need for a dialogue between various "approaches" to architecture, territory, and landscape so that we may understand how the value of such works lies in the testimony they can and must represent for our own present. The research in progress at the University of Trento focuses on the knowledge of this system, on the study of recovery interventions at different scales and on the definition of new conservation and enhancement scenarios.

Abstract
For many years, the Great War has become a subject of great interest for an ever-greater number of persons and bodies. Various questions have emerged in this period as regards the destiny of a cultural heritage and of works that are both so vast as to make a full and considered evaluation necessary. Moreover, this evaluation has gradually begun to involve many different disciplines, thereby bringing to the fore the need for a dialogue between various "approaches" to architecture, territory, and landscape so that we may understand how the value of such works lies in the testimony they can and must represent for our own present. The research in progress at the University of Trento focuses on the knowledge of this system, on the study of recovery interventions at different scales and on the definition of new conservation and enhancement scenarios.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
