Education and Training Plan

The deliverable presents the education and training plan for the future Centre of Excellence. There are already some suppliers of education and training (in the domains addressed by CENTRIC) in Romania offering academic courses, training on demand or professional courses. But there are lacks in terms of subjects and practical contents. For the plan’s definition, the consortium analysed the outcomes of other deliverables and organized a series of interviews and workshop with the local GI stakeholders. Thanks to these outcomes, an education and training plan has been envisaged with two main components: (i) territorial management and (ii) mapping & cadastre. For both components CENTRIC will offer two types of trainings, namely academic and vocational. All courses and trainings will be offered in collaboration with local universities with the aim to better align education and training with the current and future needs and demands of the Romanian job market. The defined plan will be fit-for-purpose, flexible, focused on citizens’ and stakeholders needs, participatory to ensure community support, affordable to be operated and used, upgradable over time in response to technological changes, local needs and economic opportunities.
