These proceedings contain the extended abstracts of the papers and the symposia presented at the 13th Annual Conference of the Italian Association for Cognitive Sciences (AISC) that was held at the University of Torino on November 24-26 2016. AISC 2016 featured three invited talks, respectively by Giorgio Vallortigara, Carlo Severi, Tom Ziemke, various special talks, thirty-six contributed papers, and six symposia. A special symposium was organized to remember the important contribution given to the Italian community of the cognitive sciences by the late Rosaria Conte, former president of our society, who sadly passed away this year.
