This paper presents a preliminary analysis aimed at identifying a method for prioritizing the remedial works and for managing the geotechnical and hydraulic phenomena that may interfere with the public transport service on the railway line Trento - Male -Marilleva in Trentino (Northern Italy). The method introduces the “Criticality” C (classified as mild, moderate, high or very high) based on the concept of risk for landslide or hydraulic events. Trentino Trasporti SpA (Tt) is the quango responsible for the management, maintenance and implementation of the functional assets unavailable to the public transport services (road and rail) in the region. Among the various tasks regarding the railway line Trento-Malé-Marileva, Tt must ensure safe conditions for the viability of the line by carrying out the monitoring of risks and the construction of remedial works for their mitigation. Consequently, in accordance with the risk management process, it is important to constantly urge the risk quantification, so there is always the urge to perform the actions of monitoring and control. For this purpose the value of the intensity I in the well-known risk quantification formula has been amplified by a factor O "works", greater than unity, in the case of works obsolete or even absent. Tt is asked to reduce the factor O with the remedial works. Intensity I and frequency P were evaluated in relative terms, on the basis of information published by the authorities or available in the archive of the company. For the whole railway 33 critical situations were recognized, moderate to high, for a total length of about 7 km, that is more than 10% of the track.

Abstract
For the whole railway 33 critical situations were recognized, moderate to high, for a total length of about 7 km, that is more than 10% of the track.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
