The essay discusses critically the drive that brings the Trento Center for the Formation of International Solidarity (“Centro per la Formazione alla Solidarietà Internazionale”) to promote concrete actions, including theoretical questioning and pragmatic engagement. The pivotal issues of “conflict” and/or “dialogue” are explored in relation to the social and personal striving for peace. Peace is never granted but must be built, and the world of international cooperation might be supportive, so long as a strong scientific questioning of logics and finalities of cooperation are specifically contextualized.
