La pubblicazione dello Statuto nelle province in via di annessione (1859-1861)

The introduction of Albertine Statute into the future provinces of the Italian Kingdom (1859-1861) As Victor Emmanuel II took the title of King of Italy on March 1861, the Albertine Statute was almost 'automatically' raised to become the constitution of the new Italian state without having found the slightest mention in the official unification acts and without any change having been brought in it. The Statute was been however already introduced into the new provinces at the annexation time (1859-1860). This essay investigates the different times and conditions under which this happened, and tries to understand whys and wherefores of the aforementioned silence.
