This work presents the theoretical guidelines for the design and the optimization of wireless power systems (WPS) operating at different microwave bands. A set of representative experimental results concerned with different WPS systems operating in the S, X, and Ku bands are presented and discussed. The obtained results demonstrated the capabilities and the maturity of WPT systems as alternative power supply sources for supply low power electronic devices.
