IRIS è l'Anagrafe della ricerca dell'Università degli Studi di Trento, e ha lo scopo di raccogliere, documentare, conservare e diffondere, anche ad accesso aperto, la produzione scientifica degli autori afferenti all'Università degli Studi di Trento.

The Laboratory of Environmental Archaeology and History (LASA) of the University of Genoa is a research group which works on issues as the history and the geography of agricultural, forestry and pastoral landscape, the history and archaeology of rural settlement, the history of material culture, the archaeology of environmental resources. These collective projects have played a fundamental role in promoting interdisciplinary research. The group, composed by geographers, historians, ecologists, archaeologists, botanists and ethnographers, has developed in the course of time a methodology (geographic-historical micro-analysis) based on the integration of multiple sources, both documentary and field ones. The article illustrates the projects carried on by the LASA in the last decades, the international network established through these projects (GEODE Laboratory of Toulouse, School of Geography of the University of Nottingham, etc.), the research products; the laboratory structures and the teaching activities. To conclude, the figure of the “Tower of Babel” has been used to indicate both the complexity and the problems but also the potentialities produced by the synergy of so many different languages (theories, methodologies, sources and semantics).
