Intelligenza artificiale e regolazione delle relazioni di lavoro: prime riflessioni

The essay aims to examine some problematic aspects of work regulation in the digital economy. After some preliminary observations on the transformations underway in the economic-social system of the third millennium, the contribution identifies in the affirmation of artificial intelligence the main innovation, of a transversal character, which determines a substitutive effect of human cognitive abilities also in relation to organizational modalities of the enterprises and of the employment relationship, with important effects on employment levels. These innovations, however, do not determine the need to revolutionize the traditional categories of labor law, but require an up-to-date reading of traditional labor law institutions, taking into account the increasingly important role of the concept of algorithm, which constitutes the epicenter of technological innovation and whose regulation is proposed through collective bargaining.
