The Battle of Vittorio Veneto was fought between 24 October and 4 November 1918 by the Italian 4th, 8th, 10th and 12th Armies against the Austro-Hungarian 6th Army, the Armeegruppe Belluno and the Isonzoarmee. It resulted in the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian front and in an armistice between Austria-Hungary and Italy.
